Film series: Fifty Shades
Adapted from: Fifty Shades Freed
Producers: E. L. James, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca
A Wrinkle in Time: It’s a movie no one asked for, it doesn’t seem friendly enough to attract people(though we must remind ourselves that popular property Cinderella was a rather lukewarm movie BOwise. It doesn’t have a lick of hype, it’s a potential bomb for Disney, this could however perform decently whether critics like this enough and hype it up with great reviews, but against Pacific Rim and Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda(potential overperformer) it will likely not fare good enough depending on the budget.
Tomb Raider: Great quality and a female driven marketing could save this, but seriously after Assassin’s Creed flopped i don’t think this can do good BO wise, the last game of the franchise didn’t sell so well and depending on the budget(which i presume it’s between 50 million and 100 million) it could not make enough profit.
Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished years earlier. Hoping to solve the mystery of her father’s disappearance, Croft embarks on a perilous journey to his last-known destination — a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. The stakes couldn’t be higher as Lara must rely on her sharp mind, blind faith and stubborn spirit to venture into the unknown.
Initial release: March 16, 2018 (USA)
Based on: Tomb Raider; by Crystal Dynamics
Screenplay: Geneva Robertson-Dworet
Music composed by: Junkie XL, James Newton Howard
Spraysprays: Fifty shades budget is to low to flop it will do fine
I can see a wrinkle in time flopping though
Marathon1981: I think A Wrinkle in Time is the most likely to bomb out of the candidates you listed. It has those (not in a good way) Tomorrowland vibes.
UtterlyShook: Red Sparrow. It’s a movie about a spy falling in love with a CIA agent. It depends on the budget but I doubt people will turn up for turn this one.
Ocean’s Eight. The cast has some notable talent but it sounds like another doomed remake.
Goosebumps: Horror Land. The first Goosebumps didn’t do well, considering its budget, and neither will this one.
The Girl in the Spider’s Web is another film I do not see faring well at the box office. Rooney Mara won’t be returning and the sequel is arriving kind of late when you consider when The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was released.
Jobbian: ALPHA
Jobbian: Sandwitch
approvedsupport1: With China and rising ticket prices stuff like this is becoming harder to predict.
Stuff that would have bombed in the past based on audience numbers can be profitable now.
NoImNotJC: God Particle is going to. It opens superbowl weekend and I feel like all the momentum from 10 Cloverfield Lane is gone.
Mekanos: Pacific Rim: Uprising. I liked the first movie but the five year gap is going to hurt it, especially when the first movie was basically saved by China.
PaPeRb01: There have been a lot of movies made that no one asked for but were successful films at the box office
spencerlevey: Maze Runner: The Death Cure
DinahHamza07: A Wrinkle of Time has Chris Pine and OPRAH.
