Korean Actress-Hottie Jeon Jong-Seo Starring Debut In Upcoming Movie ‘Burning’ [TRAILER]
23-year old model-actress Jeon Jong-seo [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] Film (& Nude?) Debut In Upcoming Korean Movie ‘Burning‘[1]
If everything goes to plan, dreamy-eyed, full breasted, all-around perfection Jong-seo will be the Korean nudecomer of 2018. Yep, the role calls for nudity. As suggested via the trailer – love scene with male leads Yoo Ah-in and The Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun is on the cards. Steven might take out his frustration on the gorgeous newbie by fake fucking the lass including feasting on her cute chesticles after so-close-yet-so-far moments with Lauren Cohan and Samara Weaving.
Director Lee To Release ‘Burning’ Next Year
The production company, Burning Project LLC, revealed on Aug. 18 that it will be holding an audition for the female protagonist.
“We are looking for a talented actor who possesses average mannerisms of a modern youth and unique characteristics of the individual, set to play the 27-year-old Hae-mi. The scenes will require partial nudity,” said the production company.
“Burning,” based on a novel by Haruki Murakami, will be both written and directed by Lee.
The production company announced that after cast selections are finalized, the movie will start filming in mid-September.
This will be a new project for director Lee, whose last film “Poetry” was released eight years ago to critical acclaim.
Lee, a renowned Korean filmmaker whose famous works include “Green Fish,” “Peppermint Candy” and “Secret Sunshine,” has received a number of awards including the Legion d’Honneur and has been recognized at both the Venice Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
Newcomer Jeon Jong Seo To Act Alongside Yoo Ah In, “Burning” Holds Gosa Ceremony

Jun Jong Seo (22 years old) beat the competition after casting trials in an audition, and will star with Yoo Ah In in “Burning” (adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s short story Barn Burning, originally published in The New Yorker) as the character Haemi. Haemi is a 27 year-old lady, who has the youthful ordinariness of our generation and her own uniqueness, and her role demands a high level of exposure.
Jeon Jong Seo was found by Lee Chang Dong after an audition for several months. Jeon Jong Seo, who has no professional acting experience, currently taking leave from the Film Arts major at Sejong University and will debut on the screen through this work. So, she’s not clueless about how acting/filming is done, though still she has no real life experience. She just joined Song Ji Hyo’s agency MY Company.
Lee Chang Dong is famous for choosing his leads carefully, knowing that they could deliver every nuanced feeling he intends to express on the screen. He has discovered some of Korea’s leading actors such as Seol Kyung Gu and Moon So Ri through “Pappermint Candy”, and it is noteworthy that he is casting a new generation of actors while working in “Burning”.
“Burning” is highly likely to release for the Cannes Film Festival and get “R” rating
“Burning” tells the story of a chaebol, a deliveryman, and a woman. Yoo Ah In confirmed his appearance as the lead character deliveryman Jong Soo, and Steven Yeun is expected to play the chaebol role namely Ben. The female character, Haemi, is cast through an audition.
“Burning” is the story of Jong Soo played by Yoo Ah In. He comes across Haemi, the narrator model (read about “narrator model” here), and falls in love with her. With the appearance of Ben, he gets shaken by confusing feelings and anger. From beginning to end, the movie follows his feelings. There are three main characters, but Yoo Ah In is the first one in terms of importance.
He’s been waiting for a long time to make this movie, and then there were twists and turns about the confirmation and military exemption. In recent years, Yoo Ah In has made a unique position among his peers with his remarkable performance, but he was forced to wear an image of self-reliance/self-determination after the military exemption. “Burning” has become a more important work for him.
The female character of “Burning” was found through an audition in August. According to “Burning” officials, the heroine Haemi is a 27 year-old lady, who has the youthful ordinariness of our generation and her own uniqueness, and her role demands a high level of exposure/rules-breaking nudity.
In the scenario, there’s a bed scene of a high intensity (of her) with Yoo Ah In. There’s also a scene that involves marijuana smoking and nudity [the article still means Haemi here. It’s not obvious whether she’s going to smoke pot and get nude alone or with another character]. She has also appeared in Yoo Ah In’s fantasy scene that has a sexual nature/code. Through shooting and editing, the scene can be changed. But after the release of the movie, the irregular/exceptional exposure (nudity) of the female lead will definitely become a hot topic. The audition for the female role is over. An unfamiliar face that has been casting, and she’s currently finalizing her appearance with “Burning” representatives.
It is highly likely that the film will be released in May 2018 for the Cannes Film Festival. Film industry said that “Burning” is a movie for Cannes, because Lee Chang Dong is a beloved director of the world-class film festivals. In 1999, he was invited to the Cannes Film Festival for his second production, “Peppermint Candy”. In 2002, he won the Venice International Film Festival’s special director prize for “Oasis”. In 2007, he directed “Secret Sunshine”, and Jeon Do Yeon won the trophy for the best actress in Cannes Film Festival. And then he won the best screenplay at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival for “Poetry”. Industry officials stated, “This is Lee Chang Dong’s new work which marks his return after eight years. Even if they don’t expect to win the prize, the film should be able get an invitation from the Cannes Film Festival.”
Note: There’s also interesting information that we gathered from one of K-nets comments under the article saying, “Master director Lee Chang Dong, and Yoo Ah In. The movie has been important enough that it was restarted within a year, up till the photography director Hong Jun Pyo. This is also the first 65mm movie [to be made] in Korea…. Burning is very anticipated, I’m also almost sure that it will win the best masterpiece when it goes to Cannes.”
What is 65mm movie you ask? According to this site, 65mm (also known as 70mm Ultra Panavision format) is a higher resolution format and twice the size of a standard 35mm print. Not only do you get a sharper, much more detailed image, but you also get to hear more intricacies of surround sound. 70mm also allows for an incredible amount of detail, so instead of just seeing snowflakes falling around Samuel L. Jackson in “The Hateful Height”, for example, you will theoretically be able to see how the flakes differ from the one another. This means when we watch “Burning” in theaters, our eyes will be pampered with the detailed and sharper images of Yoo Ah In in all scenes too. Heaven!
Sassy Translator: He’s doing the intense erotic melo movie that he was dreaming about in the 2015 Busan International Film Festival Open Talk. The movie seems of an intensssssse sexual nature. How can we cope? Furbabe: Pretty sure it’s gonna get R Rating and be Sik’s first bed/nude scene ever. Let’s prepare our poor heart for the surprises
