kathakana: Unfortunately he passed away a couple of years ago but he always seemed absolutely lovely and kind. If you’re not sure who he is Robin Williams played him in the film Awakenings. He was a neurologist and wrote loads of books, including ‘The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat’.

toneesh: Yes!! Thank you for posting this pic. Dr. Sachs was a fascinating man! I’ve got several of his books and they’re just so amazing to see the way his mind worked.
If you want to dive-in, listen to the podcast Radiolab. He was a regular contributor before he passed and at the end of his battle with cancer he kept reporting and describing his demise. It can be sad but also so intriguing to basically see the path to the end.
