In Man of Steel (2013) Martha Kent had a job at Sears but the Smallville Sears was destroyed when the Kryptonians attacked. This lead to her taking a job as a waitress at the diner in Batman V Superman (2016).
- Seems pretty petty of Superman to let his mother work a blue collar job when he could just use his lunch break to collect some rocks from the moon and set her up for life.
- And now, nobody works at Sears. They should have saved some of that product placement money.
